CRUMB-SNATCHER by Rhonda Turpin

Many people on the left, including Mr. Eric Holder, who, by the way has always been
one of my favorite advocators, are upset because the prison reform that was packaged
and titled The First Step Act (HR 5682) leaves out sentencing reform.  The criticism is that
it focuses solely on prison reform.

Well, I am here to tell you that I am EXCITED about being able to receive 91 days off
my sentence, at the least!  The additional seven days that is retroactive in the First
Step Act will award me 91 days immediately.  For those of you that are free, and
enjoying all of the small luxuries of life, (i.e. a chilled drink, a comfortable bed, no
exposure to infectious diseases, and being able to talk, text, or email your family
and friends for FREE, look at this step as "UNACCEPTABLE", and even the crumbs off
the table, because it does not include any type of sentencing reform.

Well today, call me the CRUMB-SNATCHER!!!  91 days off my sentence is HUGH!!!
That puts me out of here three months earlier.  For those of us serving time, 91
days is a leap closer to going home.  For a few others, the additional seven days
would change their out date to 2018, instead of 2019.

For prisoners, it is a start and a first step in a broken system that has not been
able to pass ANY type of reform in more than the 14 years I have served.
I hope that this enlightens a few of the freedom advocates.

Respectfully,
CRUMB-SNATCHER, aka
