Tonight is X-mas at Danbury Camp. Topeka Sam, the Executive Director of
The Ladies of Hope Ministries, granted 6 women with scholarships under the
inmate Angel Project. One scholarship was given to Sarah Ashley, naming her
the Angel of the month for January 2016, a one time monetary scholarship to
help her with her prison expenses. Sarah never received any outside help.
The goal of The LOHM Angel Project is like the underground railroad- we plan
to take women/mothers by the hand, and snatch them out of the throws of
oppression!!! We are the first Big Sisters program for women in prison, and
Topeka Sam and her committee made it happen here at Danbury Camp!!
